In an increasingly multicultural society it is important that we understand and appreciate our differences, but why celebrate them and why work together to prevent discrimination?

Join this HJT workshop to explore the concepts of Equality & Diversity and consider their impact on individuals and society as a whole.

You will learn about the current legislation that supports equal opportunities and have the opportunity to discuss ways in which Equality & Diversity can be promoted in the workplace and the benefits of doing so.

This is a highly interactive workshop designed to engage delegates in debate on the positive and negative sides of Equality & Diversity as well as providing an understanding of:

• What diversity is and the differences between ‘equality’ and ‘diversity’
• Diversity in the UK and why it matters
• Equal opportunities legislation as a framework
• The benefits and barriers to diversity
• The tools to identify and tackle discrimination
• Being inclusive

This workshop is relevant to everyone regardless of occupation or sector but is particularly useful for those who work as part of a team or within client facing roles and anyone in a position of responsibility.
