3 CPD

This workshop looks at drafting a letter of representations in support of an application to the UKBA.

Applications rarely speak for themselves. A letter of representation enables you to explain the facts of the application and how it meets the requirements of the relevant rule or policy. It is an essential tool in effective casework. We will draft a letter of representations, considering:

  • Preparation
  • Content
  • Structure
  • Style
  • Conclusion

Learning objective – advisers will be able to prepare a letter of representations, outlining the relevant facts, evidence, and law so as to make a compelling case on behalf of their clients.
