Legal Professional Skills for OISC Advisers

You don’t have to practice as a solicitor in order to aspire to performing the best casework for your clients. And you can achieve that target if you have a sound understanding of the legal framework of legislation, rules and case law in which you operate.

Our objectives with this course are to:

-       Improve your skills in making written representations to the UKBA and drafting grounds of appeal to the Tribunal on the Immigration Rules, Points Based System and human rights.

-       Improve your conferencing skills with clients.

We provide a full overview of:

  • Tier 1 of the Points Based System
  • Tier 4 of the Points Based System
  • The “long residence” rules
  • Article 8 ECHR
  • Detailed consideration with worked examples of drafting representations to the UKBA and grounds of appeal to the Tribunal
