David is a co-founder of HJT and a Tenant at Garden Court Chambers practising in Immigration, Asylum and Human Rights Law, with an emphasis recently on unlawful detention cases.
He is a lecturer for BPP, Liberty, EIN and Garden Court (LSC Contract) and a trustee of the Electronic Immigration Network (EIN). He also founded HJT Research, creators of the Immigration Consortium Country Information Database (ICCID).
David contributes to a number of publications including MacDonald Immigration Law and Practice 6th Edition (Butterworths), Your Rights (Liberty), HJT's Accreditation Manual and the Immigration Volumes of Atkins Court Forms and the Encyclopaedia of Forms and Precedents. |

Allan has specialised in Immigration and Human Rights law since 2000, with a particular interest in the law surrounding the rights of European Union citizens and their families. He is one of 60 Barristers who is officially recommended by the Bar Council and the Legal Services Commission to undertake publicly funded immigration and asylum work.
He is a registered trainer with the Joint Council of Welfare of Immigrants (JCWI) and is an assessor on The Law Society's immigration accreditation scheme for solicitors. |

Beate been practising in the field of Immigration and Asylum Law since 1993, both in private practice and the not for profit sector (AS Law Solicitors Liverpool and Oldham CAB). She has been the Director of the Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit since July 2004 and is a qualified Solicitor.
Beate also trains for JCWI, the OISC and the CAB. She has been involved in local and national groups that seek to support those subject to immigration control. |

Peter is a Tenant at Garden Court practising Immigration, Asylum and Human Rights Law. He has trained on Asylum and Immigration law for ILPA, Chambers’ immigration team (on behalf of the LSC), Justice, Liberty, Refugee Community Groups, the Asylum Caseworker Training Project and the RLC's external training service.
He is the co-author of Asylum Law and Practice (Butterworths, 2003) and wrote the asylum and refugees chapter of Immigration Law and Practice. He is also a contributor to Halsbury’s Laws of England (Vol. 4(2) covering British Nationality, Immigration and Asylum) and to MacDonald’s Immigration Law and Practice (6th edition). He also writes for the All ER Legal Opinion and has published papers on asylum law. |

She is a senior Solicitor for the Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit.
Hermione trains for the OISC and Asylum Aid, and delivers accreditation training for HJT and JCWI. She is an assessor for CLT on the Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme and has also participated in the UKVisas Users Group and the Asylum Process Stakeholder’s Users Group. |

Stephen is a Scottish Advocate who was called to the Scottish Bar in 2002 having qualified as a solicitor at Dundas & Wilson CS. He is a member of the Murray Stable of Advocates, which offers counsel with a wide range of civil law experience, including all aspects of Asylum, Human Rights and Immigration Law.
Stephen has helped HJT train the Home Office in 2006-7 and is currently providing accredited training to Immigration and Asylum Law practitioners in Scotland for HJT. |
