Challenging the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal (4.5 CPD hours)

European free movement law (1 CPD hour)
This course provides invaluable guidance to this complex and ever shifting area of law. The aim is to assist you in making applications under the Immigration (European Economic Area) Regulations 2006 by making you aware of and helping you to apply recent case law. The 2006 Regulations introduced significant changes from the previous 2000 Regulations, some of which have been controversial. The way in which the Border & Immigration Agency has interpreted the Regulations, is in many instances, at odds with the interpretation of immigration practitioners and established commentators. There have been challenges to the Regulations themselves as being, on some areas, an unlawful interpretation of the Citizens' Directive on which the Regulations are based. This course imparts a proper understanding of the law surrounding the right of free movement as it currently stands.
